We have a 2500 ft.² showroom in the heart of Horsham, West Sussex and are one of the biggest lighting retailers in the South of England. We are a family run business with over 17 years of experience within the industry. Our aim is to provide a friendly, relaxed inspirational shopping experience in our spacious, stylish surroundings.

We offer interior and exterior lighting, glassware, furnishings and art of the highest quality which are often unique, always exclusive and truly creative.

Meet the Team

Suzannah - Director

Having previously co-established and sold ‘The Creative Assembly’ I decided I needed a new challenge. I spent 3 years, renovating, modernising and extending my home and this has allowed me to further my knowledge of design and create a very happy, comfortable home. My passion for interior design combined with my partners lighting knowledge seemed the perfect opportunity for providing a stunning quality retail outlet. My hobbies include singing, travel, my menagerie of pets, including 4 dogs, alpacas and sheep - to name but a few furry friends. I also enjoy spending time with my 2 sons Alex and Danny, swimming, walking and the ‘occasional’ glass of white wine.

Andy - Director

After a successful career in IT management a new challenge was needed and the opportunity to help setup one of the largest lighting shops in the south of England seemed perfect! My electrical knowledge combined with my lighting retail experience gave me the skills required to help my partner, Suzannah, with her venture. Along with Suzannah I too enjoy singing, travel and our animals as well as playing guitar. I see my children, Brandon and Alannah, whenever possible and have also been known to have the odd glass of wine!

Gareth - Manager

I started working in the lighting industry 13 years ago and quickly progressed to the Manager of Reigate Lighting Company. In between working I have qualified as a Sports Massage Therapist and enjoy practicing this in my spare time. I have a great passion for sport including football (player/Manager for Charlwood Village) and teaching kayaking. I am Akela of 5th/10th Horsham Cub Pack which is both enjoyable and rewarding.

Layla

I have worked in the lighting industry on and off for about 10 years and have known Andy and Suzannah for a number of years. I enjoy the arts, walking and spending time with my family including my 2 sons charlie and Freddie.

Nick

I have been working for Suzie and Andy since the shop opened and prior to this I worked in another lighting retailer for 5 years. After a brief spell in the Army during 2009 I have retuned to Sussex Lighting on a part-time basis. I enjoy socialising, keeping fit and spending time with my family and friends.
